The paper used is a heavy, deeply textured stock. The large single sheet of neutral pH paper was mounted onto mahogony board frame. Strokes had to be fairly brief and heavy with the ink thick enough (but not too thick)or the papers' texture would have grabbed.

The animal's attitude just seems to flow off the paper.
