This water color painting shows one of the Moyie's two piston powered steam engines that turned the Moyie's paddle wheel. I wanted to establish this object within it's well carpented environment. Specifically, this painting shows the engine sitting on decking with it's output shaft extending out through an opening where it connects to the pivot arm that turns the paddle wheel.
Above the engine is an underside view of the passenger deck. Two darkened doorways enter into crew's quarters -   Noisy berthing, at best.
