Water Color - 21" x 17" -
I think a further appreciation of an artwork is achieved when the viewer sees the various stages of work involved in the piece. Behind this downhill view of Kaslo's Langham Cultural Center a mild interplay of the geometric shapes of Kaslo's architecture floats within a sea of vegetation. Terminating this interplay of light and dark shapes is the strong color band of Kootenay Lake. Bordering the east side of the lake are the descending slopes of the Purcell Mountains which form British Columbia's part of the vast Rocky Mountain Range.
