A somewhat closer view of Kootenay Lake as it extends into the somewhat fading distance of the Purcell Mountain Range which appear to be loosing their snow and ice cover at the higher altitudes above the tree line.

Light overcast cloud cover serves to dimminish the contrast of foreground to background.
