FORD & VISE ON FREIGHT DECK

Ink Pen & Pencil - 3.5" x 5"

Parked next to the portside aft freightdeck door is a Ford Model 'A' truck, ready to roll off and onto the loading dock.

The subject in the foreground of this drawing is an old black smith's vise bolted onto a small work bench that is built onto one of the ship's support columes.

A engineer would have used it when repacking steam fittings or refitting bearings and bushings for the moving parts when servicing the engines and drive units.
