There's nothing like a party!?

And there's nothing like Kaslo; buildings full of people, their interests, opinions and fallibilities. Trees (Less every week, it seems..) attempting to keep back the pavements, sidewalks and the likes of 'progress.'

To some, Kaslo is 'tree lined streets.'

Other folks see places to park their heavy equipment, fuel tanks and discards ready for to become RDCK sponsored landfill.

Well... I see ducks and ravens walking along side of shaggy dogs and kids knocking pucks into goal nets not too far from the cumbling city hall which helped empty sewage outfall into Kootenay Lake at Lighthouse Beach, now a dog-leash free zone.

And then there's the summer loads of tourists with cameras and minds ready for the Kaslopian hospitality that feeds and nurtures memories that will inspire some to come back and buy into the way of life around and about in this, what some affectionately call 'the end of the road'.

MORAL: Being at the end of the road these days, is a good thing.
